Citizens marched in support of former Kosovo PM and KLA commander Ramush Haradinaj, who was arrested in January on an international warrant issued by Serbia.
Thousands of citizens marched in Prishtina to show support for Ramush Haradinaj on Saturday, who is currently awaiting court proceedings in France after being arrested on January 1 on an international warrant issued by Serbia in 2004.
Serbian Ministry of Justice officials submitted a request for the extradition of Haradinaj to Serbia on January 10. Kosovo officials have condemned Haradinaj’s arrest, saying that warrants issued by Serbia are politically motivated.
The Court of Appeals in Colmar, France approved a request for Haradinaj’s release from jail on the guarantee that he will await further court proceedings in France.
