Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, accompanied by the director of the Cinematographic Centre of Kosovo, Arben Zharku, have held a meeting with the Minister of Finance, Avdullah Hoti, with whom they discussed the implementation of an additional fund for NCC -in, in the amount of 250 thousand euros, which NCC’s budget increased from 750 thousand to 1 million euro and will be subsidising feature film projects for 2016.
Also in this meeting they discussed the establishment of a fund for the film industry and financial assistance fund through which Kosovo intends to enter the international film market in 2017. Hoti Minister Shala and he vowed to cooperate close to the attainment of this fund, which aims to gain the attention of world cinema. Through this fund, Kosovo will guarantee financial incentives for foreign film productions that come to Kosovo for realisation of film projects.
This fund Kosovo will bring enormous financial benefits but also will significantly affect the recognition of tourism values and at the same time will promote the culture of Kosovo.
