Prosecutors WENDORF and Hamiti complain of interference in investigations


Two prosecutors, Heikki WENDORF and Armend Hamiti have opposed their intervention colleague, Kent Mortimore corruption investigation process in the EULEX mission.

They have denied any access to the investigation on the grounds that it would constitute interference in the investigative process against several senior officials EULEX suspected of graft, writes Koha Ditore.

US Attorney Kent Mortimore, besides direct requests made of Wendorfit and Hamiti, asked by his superiors to allow inspection mission of files and e-mails directing Task Force prosecutors investigating corruption claims .

The special prosecutor, Kent Mortimore is assigned in the case of police officers accused of bombing the bar “Sekiraca”.

Since it has taken this event last year, only one session is not held against the accused Bejtullah Mehmeti, Luan Qerkini, Bekim Suma, Fadil Sadiku, arbresh Dalipi, Mehmet Mehmeti and Afet dalloshi. The prosecutor is seeking exculpatory evidence to the claim that a series of documents had hidden the former prosecutor, Maria Bamieh.
